Stowaway Travel case study
Stowaway Travel is an independent travel company with many years experience in arranging short breaks and holidays to all parts of the world. We have both a professional and personal commitment to ensuring that every customer receives the best possible service and holiday experience.
They contacted the business link, enquiring about hiring a web design and development consultancy. They were offered a number of contact details, one of with was Webtrendz. The invited the various companies they felt posed the right skills and knowledge to create a proposal of what the new site shall do and what it shall look like.
We did our research, and found the current design they had was strong. All it required was some final polishing touches. We produced 3 different types of design layouts, presented them and discussed the merits of each. We conducted a number of meetings to gain an understanding of their business practices and their clientele.
One of the fundamental issues Stowaway had with their current design and functionality was the inability to add and edit pages at will, offer users live availability and also provide the user with special offers to book online.
We devised a system for them where they could do all of those functions and much more. They are able to edit prices live, offer or reduce the availability of any hotel and flights. The user can register for their own Stowaway account, where they can watch the progress of their enquiry, add comments, add properties to their wish list and send email enquiries.
The content management system we have devised also allows the site to be optimised in its entirety. Simple to use and easy to operate, the CMS is ideal for any small to medium sized business who want to control the web site content inhouse.

What we wanted to do was not so simple to create in our minds let alone put it in writing and explain it to a developer. However, the team at Webtrendz have managed to do just that.
We have a website that we can totally control, it has been performing well in testing and has a good Google ranking already, so far so good. Webtrendz we able to work within the budget provided initially, but were also able to offer further development where they felt we should head. After numerous meetings we have now began stage 2 of our development with stage 3 and 4 to be discussed.
The help and assistance provided by Rahim Haji, CEO and Senior Designer at Webtrendz was second to none, he explained things and spent time at weekends and evenings explaining how things will work and how to input the various types of data and availability rules we wanted to use. Overall, the most present experience I have had working with a design and development consultancy. They are the right mix of strong I.T skills and presentation experts to assist us reach our online goals. We look forward to a great future relationship."
